Bonnie Knight Poole Tucker, 84, of Asheboro, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Bonnie was born on March 8, 1936, in Randolph Co., to the late George Poole and Edith Logan. She had worked in a hosiery mill earlier in her life and was also a stay at home mama with five children and helped on the farm. She treasured her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. Bonnie especially loved her role as "Dadaw" spending time with all of her grandkids going to lot of baseball games, taking exciting trips, playing Rook, board games, karaoke and all the Fun parties at Dadaw's house. She was a wonderful cook and loved to paint and draw. She had a passion for baseball. She encouraged time with family and loved having them all together at her home on a weekly basis for food, laughs, and good times. There are so many memories with her that make us smile and we hold dear and will cherish them always. In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband Omar Eldon Tucker; son, Gregory Bryant Tucker; and sister and her very best buddy, Estelle Branson. Surviving are her daughters, Gwendall Tucker Marion, Melinda Tucker Lambeth, Gentry Tucker Dunn; son, Kendall Ray Tucker; brother, Jerry Poole; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Bonnie truly loved her family and she thanked God for them every day. She believed in the resurrection hope and God's Kingdom. That is where she drew her strength. Due to restrictions on group gatherings, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
