Bonnie Smith Shehan

Mrs. Bonnie Lee Smith Shehan, 88, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Universal Health Care. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, February 25, 2013, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Camp officiating. Burial will follow at Brown's Chapel Christian Church Cemetery in Robbins. A native of Moore County, NC, Mrs. Shehan was born July 5, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Harrison Smith and Florence Moore Smith. She was a native of Moore County and retired from Randolph Hospital and liked to cook for the kids. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shehan was preceded in death by her sisters, Beulah Rose, Bea Morley and Blanche Santos, and her brother, Burnist Smith. Mrs. Shehan is survived by her daughter, Angela Looney and husband, Jeff, of Asheboro, NC; sons, Michael Smith and wife, Betty Dale, of Asheboro, NC, Jerry Smith and wife, Jo Ann, of Stem, NC; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Monday, February 25, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
