Bobby Phillips

Bobby Ray Phillips, age 71, of Asheboro, NC, passed away peacefully at his home, with his beloved wife Margie and his Family on Oct 15, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Williams and Pastor Sterling Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Bobby was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church, were he served as a Deacon. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Bobby was a painter by trade. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Phillips Sr. and Cornellia Mae Yarbrough Phillips; one sister Lohanna Mae Phillips Moore; and two brothers William Joseph Phillips and Robert Lee Phillips Jr. Bobby is survived by his wife Margie Ann Strickland Phillips; one step daughter, Leigh Ann Casaus (Ronald Boles); three stepsons, Michael Ray Miller ( Angela Miller),Calvin Lee Miller (Charlene Miller) and Clarence Dale Miller; 12 step grandchildren; and nine step great-randchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Tina Richardson (Hale) , Lawhanna Langley ( Cliffton) & Jerrie Webb( David); his Aunt Sara Smith; and his Uncle Joseph Yarbrough. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service.
