Bobby Gray Flinchum, 82, of Asheboro, died Thursday, November 29, 2018, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Johnny Campbell officiating. Born in Surry County, NC, on May 29, 1936, Mr. Flinchum was the son of the late Wesley Lee Flinchum and Mamie Alma Chilton. He was retired from A & M Construction. He enjoyed being outdoors, mowing and working in his yard, and camping. He loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Patty Flinchum, of the home; son, Tommy Flinchum and wife, Christine, of Ramseur; stepdaughter, Susan Oliver, of Thomasville; sisters, Peggy Key and husband, Phillip, of Randleman, Phyllis Melton and husband, Rowland, of Franklinville; brothers, R. J. Flinchum, of Randleman, Billy Flinchum and wife, Bobbi, of Franklinville, Donald Flinchum and wife, Leona, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Trenton Flinchum and wife, Kendra, Brandon Flinchum and wife, Megan, Michael Oliver "Papaw's Little Man"; and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
