Bobby G. Camp

Bobby Gene Camp, 86, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, August 11, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church, Asheboro. Officiating will be Rev. Wyatt Hoogkamp and Rev. Eddie Hill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born July 9, 1930 in Cleveland County, Mr. Camp was the son of the late Arthor and Annie Camp. He was a lifelong musician who played and sang with many different groups and venues. He had worked for Weeks Construction for 16 years and later retired from Klaussner Furniture. Survivors include his wife, Linda Hill Camp of the home; daughter, Helen C. Marley and husband, Doug of Asheboro; son, Lenward Camp and wife, Sharon of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jeremy Camp of Asheboro, Georgia C. Rygiel & husband, Frank of Tampa, FL, Laura C. Denny & husband, Shane of Asheboro, Alisha Camp of Franklinville; three great-grandchildren; and his two cherished friends, Eddie Hill and Gene Smith. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, and other times at the home.
