Bobby Joe Bishop

Mr. Bobby J. Bishop, age 75, husband of Reba Grady Bishop of 4660 Lassister Mill Rd., Asheboro, NC, 27205, passed away, Thursday, May 20, 2010. Mr. Bishop was born in Union Co., September 2, 1934 a son of the late Victor D. Bishop and Kathryn Crook Bishop. He was a retired supervisor for Metals Inc. in Rocky Mount, NC and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Bishop was a Baptist and attended Oakhurst Baptist Church in Asheboro. Surviving in addition to his wife are a nephew: Vic Bishop and wife Donna of Enoree and several other nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Padgett's Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Carroll Caldwell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Padgett's Creek Baptist Church, 843 Old Buncombe Rd., Union, SC, 29379 or to Christian United Outreach, 135 Sunset Ave., Asheboro, NC, 27203 or to a charity of one's choice.
