Robert "Bob" Eugene Landreth, 79, of Asheboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Cross Road Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Henderson and Rev. Gary Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Born September 4, 1937 in Iredell County, Mr. Landreth was the son of the late Everette and Leona Landreth. Many years ago he was a co-owner and operator of L & M Tile Company and later retired from Thomas Tire Company after 32 years of employment. Mr. Landreth was a charter member of Cross Road Baptist Church. As lay minister he presided over Sunday services at Cross Road Retirement Community for more than 25 years. He also had a prison and campground ministry. Mr. Landreth loved God and his family. He was a very selfless and giving man, who enjoyed helping others. Mr. Landreth enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and family vacations at the beach. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Alease Landreth. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Small Landreth of the home; daughters, Karen L. Banks and husband, Brad of Cary, Kimberly L. Kennedy and husband, James of Winston-Salem; granddaughters, Stephanie Bankert and husband, David of Morrisville, Jaimie Miller and husband, Nate of Winston-Salem;great-grandchildren, Savannah Miller, Caroline Bankert, Daniel Bankert; stepdaughters, Rhonda Neighbors and husband, Tim of Franklinville, Dawn Perkins and husband, Robbie of Pleasant Garden; stepson, Jeffrey Hicks and wife, Becky of Asheboro; step-grandchildren, Christopher Hicks, Jamie Hicks, Laurel Edwards, Nicholas Neighbors; and step great-grandchildren, Jordan Rush, Katie Rush, Arielle Edwards and Luke Edwards. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Cross Road Baptist Church, prior to the service.
