Blanchie M. Lewis was born on December 23, 1947, in Carthage NC, to the late Edward and Josephine Martin. She passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, in Asheboro, North Carolina, at the age of 77 and is now living with the heavenly father.
Blanchie's life was marked by her enduring presence and spirit, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be cherished by those whose lives she touched.
Blanchie worked and retired from Teleflex. Blanchie loved working in the flower garden and pottery. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her puppy.
May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who mourn her passing.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Asheboro by Pastor Rhon Hammond. The burial will be at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. Ridge Funeral Home of Asheboro is in charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Josephine Martin, four sisters, Almeta McNeill, Viola Elliott, Linda Martin, Vilena Brown and brother, James Martin.
Ms. Lewis is survived by her two daughters, Charlotte Martin of Greensboro, Shantine (Bobby Lee) Bowden of McLeansville; son John Johnson of Asheboro; siblings, Bernice Williams (Sam), Lee Martin Sr. (Bonnie) of Asheboro, Alton Martin of Carthage Darlene Martin of Charlotte; eleven grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home.
