Blanca Estela Alvarez Ortiz, 54, of Asheboro, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Maple Springs Baptist Church, Seagrove, NC. Officiating will be Dr. Howard McNeill and Rev. Anna Morrison. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Ortiz was born in El Salvador on March 25, 1960. She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church. Blanca's passion for life was supported by her love for her Savior,her sons, her family and her friends. Helping others brought joy to her life and a beautiful smile to her face. She is survived by her sons, Ever Alvarez and wife, Sendy, of Asheboro, Javier Ortiz, of Asheboro, mother, Maria Alvarez Pallan, of El Salvador, sisters, Clara Alicia Alvarez, of California, Mercedes Alvarez, Blanca Iris Alvarez, Flor De Maria Alvarez, Elsa Alvarez, Elvia Alvarez, all of El Salvador, Vilma Reyes, of Maryland, brothers, Manuel Jesus Alvarez, of El Salvador, Jose Santos Alvarez, Rosendo Alvarez, both of California, Osmin Alvarez, of El Salvador, grandchildren, Kayla Diaz, Kamila Alvarez, Brian Grubb, Christopher Grubb, Matthew Lane, and Lucas Lane. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Maple Springs Baptist Church, P.O.
