Bj Brewer

Billy Joe "BJ" Brewer, 71, of Asheboro, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at his residence.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 16, 2025, at New Hope Methodist Church, Denton with Rev. Gary Mason officiating. Burial follow in the church cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

BJ was born July 28, 1953, in Florence, AL. He honorably served in the US Army for 6 years and with two tours in Korea. He was employed by the Department of Corrections as a sergeant for 18 years and later owned and operated Carolina Exteriors. He also had worked for Dr. Imran Haque as a project manager since 2012. Riding Harley Davidson motorcycles was his favorite hobby but his family was the most important. BJ was a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his precious granddaughter, Madalyn Eve.

BJ was preceded in death by his father, Craig Boyd Brewer, step-mother, Kate Sanders Brewer, and fur-baby, Chloe, whom he loved very much.

Survivors include his wife since 1979, Lynn Luther Brewer of the home; daughter, Kristin Brewer Reilly and husband Michael of Durham; sister, Linda Allred and husband Odell of Asheboro; sister-in-law, Ann Newlin of Asheboro; granddaughter, Madalyn Eve Reilly; niece, Karen Newlin of Asheboro; nephews, Chip Newlin of Asheboro, Michael Allred of Asheboro, Mitchell Allred, of Star; and his present fur baby, Bentley.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., at the church prior to the service.
