Billy R. Owens

Billy Ray Owens, 68, of Asheboro, died Friday, November 9, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 12, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Mr. Owens was born April 24, 1950 in Rockingham, NC. He had worked at Dixie Furniture. Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his father, Manley Ben Owens, Sr., and his sister, Judy O. Pugh. He is survived by his mother, Lois Jarvis, of the home; sisters, Vickie O. Kenne and husband, Mike, of Randleman, Kathy Owens, of Asheboro; brothers, Carl Owens and wife, Donna, of Randleman, Bobby Owens and, Kathy, of Asheboro. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday, at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service.
