Billy Haywood

Billy Ray Haywood, 69, of Mt. Gilead, died Sunday, May 14, 2017 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Mt. Gilead. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Born October 11, 1947 in Montgomery County, Mr. Haywood was the son of the late Thomas and Ethel Haywood. He served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his sisters, Leslie Saunders of Asheboro and Lois Tucker of Mt. Gilead. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home.
