Bill Holland

Mr. William (Bill) Carson Holland, age 76, of 461 Westbury Drive, Asheboro, NC, died Monday, December 6, 2010, at Randolph Hospital. A service to celebrate the life of Bill Holland is scheduled for 3:00 pm Friday, December 10, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with minister Greg Hancock officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Concord, NC, Mr. Holland was born August 15, 1934. He was the son of the late Walter W. Holland and Margaret Holland Kiser. Bill was employed by Union Carbide / Eveready Battery Company for 39 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Holland was preceded in death by his sister, Iris Holland Moore. Mr. Holland served for 3 years in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Holland is survived by his wife, Carolyn Holland, of the home; sons, Bill Holland, and fiancée Diane Vandevere, of Charlotte, NC, Dale Holland and wife, Karen, of Charleston, SC, Warren C. Holland and wife, Min S. Holland, of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Won Howell, Kim Holland, Ross Holland, Kayla Holland; step-mother, Eula Holland, of Kingsport, TN; brother, Vance Holland and wife, Pat, of Concord, NC; sister, Erlene Yessick and husband, Harold, of Ft. Worth, TX; half-brother, Walter Holland, of Knoxville, TN. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
