Bill Friday

Billy "Bill" Augusta Friday, 84, of Randleman, died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Stines officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Born September 12, 1932 in Gaston County, Mr. Friday was the son of the late Kenneth and Edith Friday. He was retired from Old Dominion, where he was a truck driver. Mr. Friday was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and had served in the U.S. Army. He loved playing the guitar. In addition to his parents, Mr. Friday was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Johnson Friday; and brother, Sam Lutz. Mr. Friday is survived by his daughters, Debbie Freeman and Kim Friday, both of Randleman; sons, Kenny Friday and wife, Regina of Asheboro, Tommy Friday of Randleman; grandchildren, Dale Freeman, Brook Grant, Amber Friday, Samantha Trotter, Justin Henderson, Aaron Friday, Bobby Millikan; great-grandchildren, Sean Grant, Alexus Friday, Makalah Thompson, Jacob Grant, Richard Thompson, Christopher Russell, Michael Thompson, James McDowell and Austin Trotter. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.
