Bill Brown

Mr. Billy Joe Brown, 72, of Seagrove, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 pm Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Community Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Brother Keith Letterman and Brother Graham Chriscoe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Brown was born May 12, 1939. He was retired from Ramtex, Inc. He enjoyed going to church and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ansil C. Brown, mother, Ruby Brown Chriscoe, sister, Margaret Poe, brother, Floyd Chriscoe and son-in-law, Don Pugh. Survivors include his daughters, Joanette Patterson and husband, Johnny, of Seagrove, NC, Cynthia Black, of Seagrove, NC, and her fiancé, Randy Kimrey, of Ramseur, NC, Sherry Pugh, of Seagrove, NC; sons, Darren Brown and wife, Rita, of Seagrove, NC, Brent Brown, of the home; sister, Flona Harrelson, of Asheboro, NC; brothers, Kelly Chriscoe, of Asheboro, NC, James Chriscoe, of Seagrove, NC; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
