Wilbern "Bill" Ray Browder, 91, of Asheboro, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at Randolph Health in Asheboro.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with Bishop Daryl Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
Born in Forsyth County, NC on June 22, 1931, Bill was the son of the late Jesse Haymore Browder and Eunice Ethel Spainhour Browder. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he was a Ward Missionary and Past Bishop. Bill retired from Hassoc Medical Inc. He loved to work in the yard and listen to blue grass music.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Gaye Rich; son-in-law, Jimmy Winningham; sisters, Margie Draughn, Angie Mae Draughn, Thelma Draughn, Corine Odum; brothers, J.H. Browder, Grady Browder, and Dean Browder.
He is survived by his wife Janette Brinkley Browder of the home; daughter, Shelia Winningham Allison (Mike) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Brian Yow (Laurie), Jeffrey Winningham; Kaili Yow, Kiersten Yow, Kamryn Yow, Tessa Winningham, Whyatt Winningham; son-in-law, Eugene Rich (Jean); and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome to pay their respects and sign Mr. Browder's register book from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Ridge Funeral Home.
