Bill Borgardts

Mr. William Albert "Mr. Bill" Borgardts, 77, of Asheboro, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, May 16, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Self officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 16, 2011, at the Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors. A native of Le Sueur County, MN, Mr. Borgardts was born December 10, 1933. He was the son of the late Loney Borgardts and Laura Ema Bird Borgardts. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the US Army, 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, NC after 20 years of service and he was a Green Beret. He was a semi tractor trailer driver for 36 years. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Ann Borgardts, of the home; sons, Richard Borgardts and wife, Teresa, of Long Beach, NC, Allen L. Borgardts and wife, Rosalee, of Kansas City, MO, Gary C. Borgardts and wife, Cindy, of Jacksonville, FL; stepson, Larry Owen "Butch" Fletcher II, of Winfield, WV; stepdaughter, Lisa Ann Brame and husband, Buddy, of Asheboro; sister, Lorann Allen, of London, OH; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
