Beulah Cox Moran

Beulah Mae Cox Moran, 83, of Asheboro, died Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Woodland Hill Center in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Pastor Tommy Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Huldah Baptist Church Cemetery. Born on September 5, 1934, in Randolph County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Pearly Hayworth Cox and Sarah Ethel Hicks Cox. Mrs. Moran was a member of Huldah Baptist Church, where she played the piano occasionally as she sang. She was a homemaker and loved to cook. She was free hearted, and always expressed her feelings for greeting everyone with a big smile. Her favorite phrase was "Bless Your Heart" and John 3:16 was her favorite Bible verse. Mrs. Moran loved her family dearly. In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband, Manuel Junior Moran; sisters, Kathleen Swaney, Ruby McDowell; brothers, Wade Cox, Leon Cox; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Moran. She is survived by daughters, Judy Moran Hunt, Helen Moran Kirkman and husband, Mark, Shirley Moran Hutchins and husband Jerry, all of Asheboro, son, Tony Manuel Moran of Asheboro, sisters, Ruth Hollingsworth, Hilda Swaney, Betty Gunter and husband David, all of Asheboro. grandchildren, Brian Hunt and wife Carla, Stephanie Hall, Jeffrey Hutchins and wife, Amanda, Tara Kelly and husband, Dwight, step grandchildren, Lee Hutchins and Lindsey Johnson Toomes; great grandchildren, Preston Henderson, Bailey Henderson, Andrew Kelly, Addicyn Kelly, Angel Davis, Katlyin Hutchins and Brianna Hunt. The family will receive friends from 1:30- 2:45 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Huldah Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 7187 Old NC Hwy 13, Asheboro, NC 27205; or to Community Home Care and Hospice, 533 S. Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
