Betty Jean Thompson

Mrs. Betty Jean Ingram Thompson, 59, of 4180 Salem Church Road, died Thursday, October 28, 2010, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, November 1, 2010, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steven Nance officiating. Burial will follow at North Bend Cemetery. A native of Richmond County, NC, Mrs. Thompson was born November 30, 1950. She attended Salem Fellowship Church and was formerly employed at Big Lots. She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola Ingram McDowell. Surviving are her husband, Charles Thompson, of the home; daughter, Crystal Garren, and husband, Jason, of the home; stepfather, Bobby McDowell, of Asheboro; sisters, Judy McDowell, of Denton, Barbara Beasley, of Harrells, NC; brothers, Billy McDowell, and wife, Faye, of Denton, Johnny McDowell, of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
