Betty Miller

Mrs. Betty Miller, 75, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, April 7, 2014, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. Burial will follow at West Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Guilford County, NC, Mrs. Miller was born May 13, 1938. She was the daughter of the late James Earl Greene and Bessie Katherine Deaton Greene. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and a homemaker. She loved puttering in her flowers, listening to old country and gospel music, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Connie Childers. Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Jack Miller, of the home; daughters, Vickie Castevens and husband, Alvin, of Franklinville, NC, Penny Isom, and husband, Pete, of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Shirley Moore, and husband, Leon, of Asheboro, NC, Nancy Hill, of Silver Valley, NC, Joyce Davis, of Seagrove, NC, Carolyn Cagle, of Denton, NC; brother, Bobby Greene, and wife Kay, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Kelly Sinclair and husband, Allen, of NC, Lee Isom, and wife, Kathy, Adam Carpenter and wife, Crystal; grandson-in-law, Matt Childers; and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home.
