Betty J. Luck

Mrs. Betty Jean Cranford Luck, 80, of Asheboro, NC, went home to be with The Lord on Friday, September 2, 2011, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 4:30 pm Sunday, September 4, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alex Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Friends Meeting Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Luck was born September 22, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Alfonzo Robert Cranford and Hattie Roseanna Holder Cranford. She was retired from Klaussner and she worked for Bossong Hosiery for 33 years. She was a charter member of Ulah Church of God and a former Sunday school teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Luck; daughter, Geneva Luck Lamar; brothers, Arthur Cranford, Steve Cranford, Jim Cranford; and sister, Margaret Poindexter. Mrs. Luck is survived by daughter, Patricia A. Luck, of Asheboro; sons, Darrell W. Luck, and wife, Debbie, of Gibsonville, Tommy Luck, and Vicky, of Asheboro; sisters, Madie C. McPherson, and husband, Jackie, of Sophia, Phyllis C. Cranford and husband, Roy, of Franklinville; nine grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm Sunday, September 4, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home
