Betty Coley Carter

Mrs. Betty Coley Carter, 53, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at her residence. A private family service will be held at a later date in Galax, VA. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Coley was born July 7, 1958. She was the daughter of the late Willard and Margaret Duke and the late Daniel and Margret McNeil. She was a member of Golden Gate Baptist Church. She loved her pets, especially Bubby and Yellow, and was a loving wife who will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ann McNeil. Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband, Shawn Carter, of the home; sisters, Shirley McNeil, Peggy Sizemore and husband, Tony, all of Galax, VA, Terri Bottoms and husband, Charlie, of Oak Island, NC, Wendy Smith and husband, Jackie, of Siler City, NC; brother, Charles McNeil, of Asheboro, NC; sister-in-law, Shannon Mintz and husband, Jimmy, of Asheboro, NC; several nieces and nephews.
