Betty Gibbs Callicutt

Betty Ann Gibbs Callicutt, 75, of Franklinville, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2018, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jeff Joyce officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Falls Baptist Church Cemetery. Born in Guilford County, NC, on November 23, 1942, Betty was the daughter of the late Johnny and Bertie Gibbs. She had worked at Rampon and Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. She enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, arranging flowers for weddings, baking cakes, sewing and being outside. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sisters, Linda Gibbs and Margie Mowery, and brothers, Richard Gibbs and Dewey Lee Gibbs. Surviving are her husband, Louis Michael "Mike" Callicutt, of the home; daughters, Patricia Bralley, of Asheboro, Melonia Stockner and husband, Todd, of Asheboro, Donna Bryant of Sophia; sons, Raymond "Ray" Edwards and wife, Lori, of Asheboro, Gregory Callicutt and wife, Danielle, of Randleman, Charles Davidson and wife, Tammie, of Greensboro; sisters Judy Lucas, of Asheboro, Brenda Paschal and husband, Mike, of Randleman; grandchildren, Timothy Jones, Joe Edwards, Tonya Branch, John Henry Edwards, Onna Callicutt, Austin Callicutt, Kristin Davis, Coty Blackwell, Jordan Johnson; and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro.
