Betty Sue Callahan

Betty Sue Holt Callahan, 87, of Asheboro, died Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Alpine Health and Rehabilitation in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jon Shook officiating. Entombment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. Callahan was born in Westfield, NC, on March 22, 1932. She was retired from Klaussner Furniture and attended Bailey's Grove Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed traveling to the beach and mountains and enjoyed reading the Bible and historical books. She was preceded in death by her husband, George William Callahan; sons, David Callahan, Rex Callahan; and grandson, Chris Cranford. Surviving are her daughters, Carol Hefner and husband Calvin of Asheboro, Debbie Cranford and husband Bill of Asheboro, Vickie Harris and husband Art of Denver, Lisa Varner; sons, George Michael "Mike" Callahan of Randleman; daughter-in-law, Kay Callahan; and grandchildren, Randall, Tiffany, Brandy, Thomas, Shelton, Daniel, April. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
