Betsy Tysinger Moody

Betsy Gaye Tysinger Moody, 60, of Randleman, passed on to her Heavenly home Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro.

A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 26, 2026, at Asheboro Friends Meeting, 230 East Kivett Street, Asheboro, with Rev. David Millikan and Pastor Brad Thomas officiating. A burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Betsy was born on November 23, 1965, in Asheboro, NC, the daughter of the late Thomas "Jock" Tysinger and Peggy Lambeth Tysinger. She was a graduate of Randleman High School, class of 1983. Betsy was a woman of steadfast faith with renowned compassion and was also a member of Fresh Life Church of Archdale. She worked along with her husband of 30 years, as the owner and broker of Gateway Properties and Development. Betsy will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, nanny, mentor and friend to so many.

In addition to her parents, Betsy was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Tysinger Caudle.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney Moody of the home; sons, Taylor Moody and wife Morgan of Randleman, Adam Lambert and wife Amanda of Franklinville; sisters, Pam Tysinger Hall and husband Philip of Randleman, Carol Kivett Allred and husband Jimmy of Asheboro; brother, Eddie Tysinger and wife Lisa of Randleman; grandchildren, Callie Lambert, Carly Lambert and many nieces and nephews that she treated as her own.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:30 p.m., Monday, at Asheboro Friends Meeting, prior to the service.
