Bertis M. Richardson

Mrs. Bertis McElreath Richardson, 87, of 230 E. Presnell Street, died Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Randolph Memorial Park with Charles Reeder officiating. A native of Buncombe County, NC, Mrs. Richardson was born May 30, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Crawford William "C.W." McElreath and Ella Wright McElreath. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Richardson is survived by her son, Steve Richardson and wife, Lee, of Midland, NC; sister, Hazel Small, of Denton, NC; brothers, Alvin McElreath, of Asheboro, NC, Hoyt McElreath, of Denton, NC, Louie McElreath, of Asheboro, NC, Kenneth "Pete" McElreath, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Anna Gregg, of Concord, NC, Stacy Richardson, of Harrisburg, NC.
