Bertha Williamson Lucas Bertha Mae Williamson Lucas, 93, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Chriscoe officiating. Burial will follow at Center Cross Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Montgomery County, Mrs. Lucas was born April 13, 1922 to the late Wilburn and Nancy Williamson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Dale Lucas; son, Johnny Ray Lucas; sister, Nora W. Presnell; two brothers, J.D. Williamson and Jonah Williamson; and three grandchildren, Michael Marshall, Danny Marshall and John Collinson. Mrs. Lucas is survived by her daughters, Gertrude Marshall of Seagrove, Betty Sue Seabolt and husband, Richard of Asheboro, Nancy Voncannon and husband, Johnny of Asheboro, Dorothy Collinson of Sanford, Shirley Luck and husband, Bobby of Asheboro, Leisa Hurley of Asheboro; sons, Darrell Lucas and wife, Clara Mae, Earl Lee Lucas, Paul Lucas, Don Wayne Lucas and Steve Lucas, all of Asheboro; sisters, Irene W. Callicutt of Lowell, MA, Gladis W. Hill of Asheboro, Hattie W. Beane, Ruby W. Brown, Mary Gray, all of Asheboro; brother, James Williamson of Sophia; grandchildren, James Marshall, Donna Lowder, Tammy Hill, Joe Lee Marshall, Ricky Seabolt, Tonya Todd, Kenny Seabolt, Brenda Cerasjo, Bobby Lucas, Brian Lucas, Darren Lucas, Priscilla Scales, Allie Collinson, Bonnie Bumgarner, Tina Luck, Donna Jordan, Dale Lucas, Kelia Lucas, April Lucas and Seretha Yow.; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hilltop Baptist Church, 826 Crestview Church Rd., Asheboro, NC 27203. The family would like to thank Dr. Campbell, his nurse, Tammy, home nurse, Debbie, home care, Judy Marsh and Lisa Hurley for their care of Mrs. Lucas. They would also like to thank EMS services of High Pine Church Road, Pisgah and Seagrove for their services.
