Bertha Bryant

Mrs. Bertha Jean Morris Bryant, 69, of 2826 Forest Park Drive, Randleman, NC, died Thursday, January 6, 2011, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Aaron Robbins officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Bryant was born August 16, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Shellie Hubbard Morris and Gertha Lee Langley Morris. She retired from Galey & Lord after 21 years and later worked at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. She was a member of Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church. She had a sweet spirit and was loved by all. She never met a stranger. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Ruby Morris. Mrs. Bryant is survived by her husband, J.C. Bryant, of the home; daughters, Betty Tandon, of Clemmons, NC, Cynthia Lovell, of Randleman, NC; son, Michael Hinshaw, of Randleman, NC; stepdaughter, Barbara Morrison, of Southern Pines, NC; stepson, Jim Bryant, of Woodstock, GA; sister, Doris Luck, of Randleman, NC; brother, James Morris, Wade Morris, both of Asheboro, NC, brother, Herbert Morris, of Sophia, NC, Odell Morris, John Morris, of Asheboro, NC, Van Morris, all of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Scott Tandon, Daniel Tandon, Ashley Lovell, Jeffrey Lovell, Michael Jacob Hinshaw, three step grandchildren and one step great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, January 7, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
