Bernice Yow

Miss Etta Bernice Yow, 79, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jim Summey officiating. Burial will follow at Marlboro Friends Meeting Cemetery in Sophia. A native of Davidson County, NC, Miss Yow was born March 30, 1933. She was the daughter of the late John Medford Yow and Cynthia Louise Summey Yow. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Kennedy; and brothers, Lester Yow, James Yow, John Yow, Jr., Joe Yow, Aaron Yow and David Yow. Miss Yow is survived by sister, Mary Ruth Rollins, of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Grace Yow, of Sophia; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
