Berlene Wright

Berlene Sheffield Wright, 80, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2016, at Crestview Wesleyan Church with Pastor Jerry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born November 18, 1935 in Moore County, Mrs. Wright was the daughter of the late Harvey and Ada Sheffield. She was a longtime member of Crestview Wesleyan Church. Mrs. Wright is survived by her daughter, Kimmie Dowdy and husband, Ronnie, of Carthage; sons, Phillip Ray Sanders and wife Edna, of Dunn, Ricky Paul Sanders and wife, Linda, of Selma; grandchildren, Trevor Dowdy, Heather Taylor and husband, Darrell, Lisa Sanders; and great-granddaughter, Opal Taylor. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Monday, at the church, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crestview Wesleyan Church, 180 Crestview Church Rd., Asheboro, NC 27205.
