Berlene Rush Knight

Mrs. Berlene Dunn Knight, 75, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, January 1, 2011, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Grove Community Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Moore County, NC, Mrs. Knight was born March 25, 1935, and was retired from Black & Decker. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Rush, her second husband, Bill Knight, and her daughter, Ruby Lavone Rush Hinson. Mrs. Knight is survived by her daughters, Sandra Knight and husband, Jessie, of Asheboro, NC, Teresa Parrish and husband, Roger, of Trintiy, NC; son, Ricky Rush and wife, Dianne, of Sophia, NC; sister, Martha Sue Miller, of Fayetteville, NC; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Randolph, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
