Ben Stowe

Benjamin Grant "Ben" Stowe, 79, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, May 15, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2015, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Dan Parker and Rev. Stephen Stowe. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Community Church Cemetery, Asheboro. A native of Pittsylvania Co., VA, Mr. Stowe was born July 25, 1935, the son of the late Henry Clay and Daisy Reece Merricks Stowe. He had worked in the furniture industry and was a minister for nearly 50 years. Currently he was the Assistant Pastor of Mt. Tabor Community Church where he was a faithful member. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Stowe, of the home; sons, Wayne Stowe, of Ashland, Il, Stephen Stowe and wife, Missy, of Asheboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Julie Stowe, of Lexington, NC; grandchildren, Kristi and James Castle, of Salisbury, NC, Stephanie Stowe, of Lexington, NC, Erikka and Jonathan Emmons, of Highfalls, NC, Lorinda Stowe, of Lexington, NC, Garth Stowe, of Asheboro, NC; great-grandchildren, Jadon Emmons, Levi Emmons; brother, Jesse Stowe and wife, Priscilla; sisters, Teresa Sechriest, Patricia Carroll; brother-in-law, Clarence Mills. Visitation, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, and other times at the home of Stephen and Missy Stowe. Memorials may be made to Mt.
