Mrs. Belva Louise Thomas King, 91, of Burlington, NC and formerly of Seagrove, NC, died Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Hospice Home of Alamance. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Seagrove Christian Church with Rev. L.D. Pritchard and Rev. Tommy Privette officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. King was born May 9, 1920. She was the daughter of the late John Franklin Thomas and Lila Ann Lillard Thomas. She was a member of Seagrove Christian Church and lived for a number of years at the Summit Apartments in Asheboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alvis King; sons, Ronald King, Earl King; daughter-in-law, Linda King; sisters, Ruby Thomas, Hallie Bennett, Connie Travis, Rebecca Thomas; brothers, Raymond Thomas, Robert Thomas, Bill Thomas, Roscoe Thomas; granddaughter, Jessica King. Mrs. King is survived by sons, David King, and wife, Martha, of Burlington, NC, Larry King, of Elm City, NC, Roger King, and wife, Patricia, of Denton, NC; daughter-in-law, Brenda King, of Forest City, NC, 12 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Seagrove Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Seagrove Christian Church, 424 East Main Street, Seagrove, NC 27341.
