Becky Sue Jarrell Hughes, 69, of Asheboro, died Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Sandy Ridge Memory Care and Assisted Living in Candor. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Don Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Independent Methodist Church Cemetery. Becky was born on March 20, 1950, in Randolph Co., daughter to the late Clarence Jarrell and Pearl Mae Murphy Jarrell. She was retired from Bossong Hosiery, and enjoyed sewing, crafts and collecting yard statues. She loved to "pick and cut up" because she had a very entertaining and good sense of humor. Surviving are her sisters, Norma Garner and husband Donnell of Denton, Ophelia Gasey of Asheboro; brother, Donald Jarrell and wife Bonnie of Asheboro; several nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service.
