Barry Harrington

Barry Joe Harrington, 74, of Asheboro, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024, at his home.


A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Randolph Memorial Park with Chaplin Joey Miller officiating.


Barry was born on July 10, 1949, in Stanley County, son of the late Charles Harrington and Clara Hatley Harrington. He retired as a truck driver after over 20 years. He was a paramedic in his early years and his favorite things was watching TV and sports. Barry was a very loving and humorous man.


In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his son, Mark Bunting; and several brothers and sisters.


He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pansy Bunting Harrington; daughter, Michelle Hinshaw (Travis Ballard); brother, Randy Harrington (Polly); sister, Barbara Pennington; grandchildren, Sarah Bunting, Mason Bunting, Samantha Neese, Chase Hinshaw, Brenden Hinshaw, Joe Harrington, Kenzie Moose; and several great grandchildren.


The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Thursday, at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service.
