Barney Harn

Archie Barnard "Barney" Harn, Sr., 68, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, August 7, 2015. A celebration of life will be held 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Landmark Baptist Church, Asheboro. Officiating will be Rev. Frank Barrett. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Savannah, GA, Mr. Harn was born April 26, 1947, the son of the late Alvin and Dorothy Moore Harn. He was retired as a minister, an electrician and a registered nurse. He loved riding motorcycles and was the best husband, father, grandfather, brother and brother-in-law. Mr. Harn had served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife, Marla J. Harn, of the home; children, Archie B. "Chip" Harn, Jr., and wife, Robin, of Asheboro, Tammy Lynn King and husband, Jimmy, of Asheboro, Mary Fivecoat and husband, Eric, of Walkerton, Daniel Joseph Harn and wife, Jamie, of Whitsett, Ashley Michelle Conner and husband, Logan, of Ramseur; sister, Brenda Poisson, of Orange City, FL; and nine grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the church.
