Barbara Foster Ward

Barbara June Foster Ward, 65, of Asheboro, died Friday, June 12, 2020, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. A native of Eden, NC, Barbara was born on June 21, 1954. She had worked at the Comfort Inn, Mid-State Toyota, and AllState Insurance. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and lake, and fishing. She also enjoyed reading, doing diamond paintings and solving puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph P. Foster and Doris Jones Foster; and stepsister, Carol Sanders. She is survived by her husband, Marcus Ward of the home; daughter, Melissa Joyce (Frank Adkins) of Eden; sons, Jessie Joyce (Heather) of Asheboro, Kyle Joyce of Asheboro; stepmother, Peggy Gschwind of Huntsville, Alabama; stepsisters, Melody Stewart of Georgia, Bobby Sue Ross (T.J.) of Alabama; stepbrother, Jim Littlefield (Susan) of Georgia; grandchildren, Conner Adkins, Cayden Joyce, Logan Johnson, Linley Johnson, Charity Hammond.
