Barbara Cook Manning

Barbara Jean Cook Manning, 84, of Randleman, died Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Randolph Health in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro. Officiating will be Rev. Doug Hefner. A burial will be held at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte. A native of Davidson Co., NC, Mrs. Manning was born December 24, 1932, the daughter of the late Marvin and Blanche Wright Cook. She was a very thoughtful and caring person who loved spending time with her "grandbabies." She also enjoyed visiting friends and family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by her sons, Danny White and Gary White, her brothers, Hubert Cook and Jerry Cook, and her great niece, Beth Cook. Survivors include her husband, Robert Manning; niece, Kathy Walker and husband, Bill; nephews, Ronnie Cook and wife, Ruth Ann, Ted Cook and wife, Geri; three great nieces; one great nephew; five great-great nieces; three great-great nephews; and aunt, Margie Wright. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home.
