Barbara Hardister

Barbara Allen Yates Hardister, 78, of Hickory, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Springs of Catawba in Hickory. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 26, 2017, at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro with Charles Reeder officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside. Born October 31, 1938 in Davidson County, Mrs. Hardister was the daughter of the late Clyde and Jewel Yates. She will be remembered as a loving person who enjoyed people. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl F. Hardister; and sisters, Doris Bridges and Peggy Cranford. Survivors include her daughter, Dana Hardister Clardy and husband, Joey of Concord; son, Frankie Hardister and wife, Sue of Santee, SC; grandchildren, Michelle Rogers and husband, Mike, Stephanie Alston and husband, James, Trey Clardy and fianceé, Kim, Tiffany Holliday and husband, Matt; and 10 great-grandchildren.
