Barbara Gail Brady, 80, of Asheboro, NC, formerly of Siler City, NC, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Crossroads Memory Care facility in Asheboro, NC. Barbara was born in Randolph County on October 16, 1943 to the late John Tate and Essie Cranford Brady.
Barbara was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her favorite title was “Maw-Maw” as she loved and cherished time spent with her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She considered each grandchild her “favorite”. Barbara’s faith in God was undeniable. She was an active member of Beulah Baptist Church in Bennett, NC until her illness, at which she and special friend, Gene Roberts, would hold weekly Bible study while attending services remotely.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her son, Justin Thomas Brown; daughter-in-law, Teressa Jordan Brown; grandson, Trevor Brown; and brothers, Jimmy, Boyd, Ricky, Mickey, and Dennis Brady.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Holly Brown Hussey (Jonathan) of Highfalls; grandchildren, Chris, Trent, and Curtis Brown, Jordan Hussey (Katie), Jarrett Hussey (Alexis), Ashley and Jax Hussey; great grandchildren, Anna, Liam, and Layla Hussey; and brother, Thomas (Doodle) Brady.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m., at Pleasant Grove Christian Church in Bennett, NC. Funeral service will conducted at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Neal Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family would like to thank Crossroads Memory Care facility and Hospice of Randolph County for the amazing care, love, and support they provided them and Barbara.
