Avon Trogdon

Ms. Avon Marie Hunter Trogdon, 72, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, August 26, 2013, at Carillon Assisted Living. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, August 30, 2013, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Adrian Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Ms. Trogdon was born March 10, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Roscoe Hunter and Novella Cain Hunter. She was retired from Acme-McCrary and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Ms. Trogdon is survived by her daughters, Cathy Aikens and husband, Brad, Amy Cross and husband, Terry, all of Asheboro, NC; son, Tim Foster and wife, Vicky, of Randleman, NC; sister, Ann Smith, of Alaska; grandchildren, Sonya Burkholder and husband, Hugh, Stephanie Chi, Michael Cross, Brooke Foster, Lauren Chi, Breanna Foster; and great grandchild, Ethan Burkholder. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
