Avis Williams Callicutt

Mrs. Avis Jamie Williams Callicutt, 80, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, February 24, 2014, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Knapp and Rev. Faron Overton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Callicutt was born September 30, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Homer Williams and Jessie Magdalene Lanier Williams. She was a graduate of Seagrove High School and was retired from Black and Decker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Callicutt was preceded in death by her husband, T.R. Callicutt, her grandson, Daniel McLeod, her brothers, Harold Williams and Curtis Williams, and her step-mother, Florence Williams. Mrs. Callicutt is survived by her daughters, Sharon Harwell, of Asheboro, NC, Karen Callicutt, of the home, Patricia Chriscoe and husband, Donnie, of Asheboro, NC, Joyce Callicutt and husband, Bruce, of Troy, NC; sons, Gary Callicutt, of Asheboro, NC, Tim Callicutt and wife Ellen, of Asheboro, NC, Dwayne Callicutt and wife, Vicky, of Troy, NC; grandchildren, Gary Wayne Callicutt, Kevin Callicutt, Jennifer Callicutt, Tammy Williams, Brian Harwell, Jeremy Bailey, D. J. Chriscoe, Alicia Hicks, Keisha Hatfield, Eric Callicutt, Brandon Callicutt, Jamie Beland; 20 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and her beloved dog, "Precious." The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
