Audrey Walker Nance

Audrey Walker Nance, 85, of Franklinville, died Friday, May 5, 2017 at Universal Healthcare in Ramseur. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Johnson and Rev. Tim Strider officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklinville. Born in Randolph County, NC on August 11, 1931, Mrs. Nance was the daughter of the late John and Anna Walker. She was retired from Eveready Battery and the owner of Audrey's Alterations. She was an active member of Clearview Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities. Mrs. Nance loved doing crafts, sewing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nance was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Nance, and brothers, Roland Walker and Junior Walker. Surviving are her sons, Gary Dean Nance (Barbara) of Franklinville, H. Keith Nance (Linda) of Summerville, SC; brothers, Ervin Walker, of Randleman, Gilbert Walker (Lois), Tommy Darrell Walker (Sharon), all of Grays Chapel; grandsons, Andy Nance (Kim), Sean Nance, Todd Nance (Melanie); six step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren; one step great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Ridge Funeral Home.
