Aubra John Moody, Jr.

Aubra John Moody, Jr., 81, of Asheboro, died Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2021, at Asheboro Friends Meeting with Rev. David Millikan officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Aubra was born on November 5, 1939, in Moore Co., to the late Aubra John Moody Sr. and Sadie Blankenship Moody. He graduated from RCC with an associates degree in electrical engineering, retired from Black & Decker and was the owner and operator of Moody Electric. Mr. Moody was a member of Asheboro Friends Meeting. He served six years in the U.S. Navy and 20 years in the U.S. Naval Reserve where he retired with the rank of Senior Chief. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Aubra was preceded in death by his sister, Allene Joyce Ritter. He is survived by his wife, Linda Crotts Moody; son, Rodney Moody and wife Betsy of Randleman; brother, Randall Moody and wife Pat of Troy; grandchildren, Taylor Moody of Randleman, Adam Lambert and wife Amanda of Randleman; great grandchildren, Callie Lambert, Carly Lambert; and close friend, Steve Brisson. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2021, prior to the service and other times at the home of the son, 3139 W.O.W. Road, Randleman, NC 27317.
