Arzie Lee Brown, 86, of Asheboro, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home.
Born in Randolph County, NC on May 2, 1937, Mr. Brown was the son of the late Eli Randoph Brown and Cora Etta Jordan Brown. He graduated from Asheboro High School. Mr. Brown retired from Energizer after 35 years, after retirement he continued maintaining the lawn at Central Global Methodist Church for over 20 years. Mr. Brown enjoyed simple things in life, spending time with family, being outdoors, exercising, biking or just a ride through the county. He had a great loved for animals, especially cats. His favorite place was the Blue Ridge Parkway mountains.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by sister, Lennie Belle Brown, and brother, Charles Brown.
Surviving are his two daughters, Loren Hammond and Jenee Stanley (Ken); two grandchildren, Trey and Jeneal Hammond; and many nieces and nephews.
At Mr. Brown's request, no funeral services will be held. He will be laid to rest at Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
The family would like to express thanks to all the wonderful staff at Clapps Convalescent Nursing home for the excellent care given given to Mr. Brown for the last year of his life. They would also like to express their appreciation to Mr. Brown's special friend "Brenda" for her daily phone calls and visits that kept his spirits lifted.
