Mrs. Arlene Faye Yow Bullins, 82, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, February 25, 2011, at Whynot Wesleyan Church with Pastor Ron Terry and Chaplain Rodney Otwell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Bullins was born August 3, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Hugh Burley Yow and Cora Mae McNeill Yow. She was a member of Whynot Wesleyan Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bullins was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Bullins, son, Harold Bullins, granddaughter, Tammy Bullins, son-in-law, Larry Mabe, brothers, Otis Yow, Lawrence Yow, Dale Yow, Recil Yow, Floyd Yow, and sister, Kate Davis. Mrs. Bullins is survived by her daughters, Dianne B. Mabe, of Asheboro, NC, Kathy B. Staple and husband, Howard, of Hallandale, FL, Darlene Bullins, of Asheboro, NC; son, Sam Bullins and wife, Mary, of Asheboro, NC; sister, Betty Y. Hodge, of Sophia, NC; brother, Jerome Yow, of Seagrove, NC; sister-in-law, Mary Bullins Bulla; grandchildren, Richard Mabe, Bradley Mabe, Amanda Mabe, Brian Bullins, Del Duncan, Crystal Duncan, Mickey Swaney, Eric Swaney, Mike Bullins, Tim Daniels; twenty-one great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Randolph, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Randolph County, social worker Lisa Miller, Chaplain Rodney Otwell, caseworker Marie Allred, nurses Kenneth Temple and Kim Foland, volunteer Darlene Cox, and to her special Caretaker, daughter Darlene Bullins.
