Archie Rich

Archie Lee Rich, 86, of Asheboro, died Monday, July 19, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Bethel Baptist Church, Asheboro, with Dr. Jody Harrison and Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests friends to wear red to the funeral service in Archie's memory. Mr. Rich was born May 28, 1935, in Randolph County. He was the son of the late Millard Lee and Effie Margaret Causey Rich. He was the owner of Rich Furniture, was a private pilot, flew model airplanes and was a member of a model airplane club. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Rich of the home; daughters, Debbie Wall and husband Michael, Cindy Fila and husband Larry, all of Asheboro; sons, Rodney Rich and wife Cindi, Jimmy Rich and wife Lea, all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Amy, Michelle, Leah, Kristen, Tracy, Haley, Travis; great grandchildren, Abby, Maggie, Emma, Lexie, Chase, Augustus, Julian and Jackson. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service.
