April T. Jones

Mrs. April Teresa Thomas Jones, 42, of Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Durham Regional Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Beane officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. A native of Guilford County, NC, Mrs. Jones was born April 23, 1968. She was the daughter of Harry Charles Thomas and Janice Holden Thomas, of Greensboro, NC. Mrs. Jones was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Asheboro, was a 1986 graduate of Grimsley High School, Greensboro, and had retired from the Department of Social Services after a number of years of service. She was an avid doll collector and loved to schedule all of her family's events. Mrs. Jones, in addition to her parents, is survived by her husband, Thomas Jones, of the home; son, Brandon Michael Jones, of the home; sister, Christie A. Bisbee and husband, Glenn, of Greensboro, NC; grandparents, John and Sarah Holden, of Greensboro, NC, grandmother, Jessie Bell Thomas, of Greensboro, NC; sister-in-law, Lynn Jones, of Knightdale, NC; nephew, Alex Bisbee, niece, Sarah Bisbee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Shirley Jones, of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorial may be made at https://www.gifts.duke.edu/.
