Anthony "Tony" Jerrold Goldston, 51, of Asheboro, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Joseph Kearns officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Born December 3, 1964 in Randolph County, Tony was the son of Junior and Hazel Coble Goldston. He was a member of Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Tony attended Asheboro City Schools and worked as a manufacturing manager. He had a love for 55 Chevys and his restoration work on old cars was well known from Randolph County to Myrtle Beach, SC, where one of his many builds won truck of the year. Tony was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Elsie Coble; and his paternal grandparents, Hallie and Ettie Goldston. In addition to his parents, Tony is survived by his wife, Junitha Ann Hammond Goldston; son, Justin L. Goldston and wife, Melea; brother, Jeffrey Goldston and his wife, Joanne; and in-laws, John and Bettye Manuel of Greensboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
