Anthony "Tony" Armstrong

October 27, 1952 — June 26, 2024

Anthony Lee "Tony" Armstrong, 71, of Franklinville, died Wednesday, June 26, 2024.


Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Whites Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor J. Alan Ritter officiating.


Mr. Armstrong was born in Ithaca, NY, on October 27, 1952, and was the son of the late Duane Earnest and Murle Curtiss Armstrong. He enjoyed bass fishing and hunting. He could always find a way to make you say "WOW!" Mostly he loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren.


He proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Being a veteran, Mr. Armstrong was happy to participate in Wounded Warriors projects including Wounded Warriors Hunt and Warriors on the Water.


In addition to his parents, Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by sister Myrtie Austin, brothers Wallace and Joseph Armstrong, and grandson Bryce Cabe.


He is survived by his wife, Cathy Armstrong; sons, Charles Truskowski (Shannon), Andy Armstrong (Chasity); brother, Wayne Armstrong; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and his dogs, Tucker, Sadie and Ranger.


The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Ridge Funeral Home.
